Emmanuel’s 4GivenLove clothing line denotes a universal message, while implementing the most powerful force, Love. Learn how he used fashion to make a statement.
the name:
4GivenLove is the ability to forgive and continue to love
someone beyond hurt, pain, or disappointment.
Furthermore, it is the act of freeing yourself from resentment and
granting pardon for an offense, so you may love unconditionally.
I was motivated to create 4GivenLove Clothing after
experiencing heartbreak. Instead of self-destructing,
I decided to use my passion for design and fashion for both personal healing
and as a platform to inspire others to forgive and continue to love…for their
own sake.
the designer:
I have always been motivated by the fruits of success and
I’ve never lacked the desire to be the best at whatever I commit myself
to. I will accredit these traits to my
participation in sports. Growing up, I
always wanted to be a leader; I would admire such positions as pitcher,
quarterback, and point guard. I strive to learn them all. Off the field, I was
just as competitive. Even as a child, I
would spend my spare time thinking of ways to do things faster, smarter,
bigger, and better. This pattern of thought has followed me over the years and
that is why I have developed a passion to reinvent the world around me.

I was the kid that never accepted ‘no’ for an answer. Even as a man, I am forever determined to
find possibilities amidst the assumption of inability. My name has played a major role in this. Emmanuel means ‘God is with us’ and I know
this to be true. Furthermore, I believe
that I can do everything with God, but fail.
With that being said, my parents have been extremely influential in my
life as well. Growing up, they were my primary source of support and
encouragement. I could always count on
them to place me in positions in which I could succeed. They instilled in me the understanding of
what matters most and, because of this, I have a great appreciation for
life.
the Message:
I am very passionate about spreading the message of
4GivenLove. Fashion has been chosen as
my primary avenue to inspire change in the lives that I touch. I am a firm believer that some of the most
beautiful things can be birthed from some of the most negative situations. We build character. We gain a deeper understanding of ourselves,
through self-reflection. Some of us,
like me, discover or further understand our passion in life. I encourage my consumers to use their stories
of hurt, pain, and disappointment as inspiration to change both their lives and
the lives of those around them, for the better.
the collection:
4GivenLove Clothing
currently consistent of four collections, which are inspired by the four types
of love: Agape, Phileo, Storge and Eros.
At the moment, I just want the public to get familiar with the name and
message behind the brand. In due time, I
will be able to design my pieces in a way in which they exemplify the
collection that they belong to.
the goal:
If nothing else,
my ultimate intent is to create a large impact on the world and lead others to
follow in my innovative steps, so they may create their own story of change,
and continue the cycle of inspiration.
